We present a selection of videos from a group that needs very little introduction. For those that don't know, founding member DJ Muggs was orignally part of the west coast 80's crew 7A3. After they disbanded he went onto produce material for Mellow Man Ace. The result was a hybrid sound that became known as 'Spanglish' - Latin Hip Hop with a global appeal.

Muggs got put onto Ace's brother Sen Dog and his associate B-Real, and Cypress Hill the group were born.

The debut self titled lp blew up globally in 1991 off the back of it's lead single "The Phuncky Feel One/How I Could Just Kill A Man". Both got mad rotation on MTV in the US & Europe, which in turn fed the demand for four more blunted videos "Hand On The Pump", "Latin Lingo", "Real Estate" and "Stoned Is The Way Of The Walk".

Muggs stock continued to grow, following his work with Soul Assassin associates House of Pain and Funkdoobiest, most notably for producing wordwide anthem 'Jump Around'.

By 1993 and the advent of Cypress Hill's sophomore lp 'Black Sunday', their global popularity had reached fever pitch, and the rest as they say is history.

Although known these days for producing a more blunted rock sound that has less to do with their latin hip hop origins, we take it back to the golden year of 1991 and salute one of the best hip hop debut lps of that generation.

    Shoo-bee-doo ya'll!
